High School

Catalyst High School Youth Ministry is for grades 9-12. The purpose is to help students like YOU experience Jesus and help YOU become a fully-devoted follower of Him.

What to expect? When you join us on a Wednesday night or any other event, expect to join a group of students who come as they are regardless of how much they know about Jesus.  Our events will be fun and some will be challenging, so there will always be an event where you feel comfortable.  There will also be a group of caring adults who are dedicated to love you for who you are, help you make friends, and to help you experience Jesus.

IGNITE [7:00 - 8:30pm, Wednesday Nights, Underground Student Center]

IGNITE is an event that draws in high school students to downtown from all corners of the city.  This opportunity has a lot to offer no matter where you are at on your spiritual journey. We hope to see you on Wednesday!

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY [9:30 - 10:30am, Sundays, Underground Student Center]

On Sunday mornings, you will find a group of students who gather together to study God’s Word on a variety of topics.  Blake Perry leads this study.

FOOD PANTRY [9:00am - 12:00pm, Third Saturday of the Month @ Comunidad de Gracia]

Catalyst Youth Ministries is dedicated to a local Hispanic mission called Comunidad de Gracia, which is a mission site of LINC Houston (Lutheran Inter-City Network Coalition).  We volunteer the third Saturday of every month from 9am-12pm.  This servant event is open to all 6th – 12th grade students and their families.

So what would you do if you showed up? Set up the food for distribution, bag rice and beans, sign people in, and then when it’s all ready you get to actually hand out the food to those who live in the East End of town.  You always come away feeling like you actually made a difference!

Click here for a map (6601 Sherman St.) and meet us there at 9am!
