Catalyst is the Youth Ministry at Trinity Lutheran, Downtown, Houston, TX for students in grades 6th – 12th. Catalyst Youth’s primary goal is to help students experience Jesus and to help students become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ and to be catalysts for the Gospel to the Houston community.
Middle School (6th – 8th) – The primary discipleship opportunity for Middle School students is called FUEL, which happens every Wednesday of the school year from 5:30 – 7:00pm in the USC.
- FUEL includes games, topical Bible study, worship, and pizza for $1/slice. FUEL also includes a special confirmation class for students in 8th grade seeking to be confirmed in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod; this is not mandatory.
High School (9th – 12th) — The primary discpleship opportunity for High School students is called IGNITE, which happens every Wednesday night from 7:00 – 8:30pm in the USC.
- IGNITE includes games, topical discussions and Bible study, worship, and pizza for $1/slice. IGNITE provides a great time for students to gather nd grow in relationships with other young followers of Jesus.
Catalyst Youth is made up of students from all over Houston; from Spring to Humble, and from Clear Lake to Spring Branch, and of course the inner-loop. Many high schools are represented, but our weekly youth nights and special events provide a great environment to foster friendships regardless. We gather together in the heart of Houston to experience Jesus and grow in our relationship with Him.
